Now Accepting New Clients!
What happens in a first session?
The first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask about what brought you in, your history, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. There's no pressure to share everything at once. I always recommend new clients meet weekly for the first 4 sessions to aid in rapport building.
How long does therapy usually take?
It varies. Some clients come for a few months to work through something specific; others stay longer for ongoing support. We'll check in regularly on how it's going.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes — sessions are available in-person or via a secure video platform, whichever works better for your schedule. But at this time in-person sessions are paused due to us moving office locations.
What's your cancellation policy?
48-hour notice is required for cancellations; late cancellations may be billed at no show rate of $100.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes, with a few legal exceptions (risk of harm to yourself or others, or as required by law), which I'll review with you in our first session.
Understanding Your Therapy Costs
At Bloom Counseling Collective, we believe you should have a clear understanding of your expected therapy costs before beginning services.
Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or who choose not to use their insurance may be entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of expected charges for scheduled services.
A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the expected charges for the services you are scheduled to receive. It is not a bill and does not guarantee the final amount you may owe if your services or frequency of care change.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services, or you will generally receive one when you schedule services at least 3 business days in advance and you are uninsured or are choosing not to use insurance.
Good Faith Estimate Example
Estimated weekly charge: $175
Estimated monthly charge: $700
Estimated annual charge: $9,100
*estimate may vary based on frequency of sessions and length of sessions.
Have questions about what you'll owe?
Before beginning therapy, we're happy to review your expected costs, insurance information, or self-pay options with you.
